A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

https://www.gcassociates-usa.com GC Associates is seeking an Education & Exercise Analyst to support the U.S. Marine Corps, I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. This position provides planning, research, analysis, and operational support to the
I MEF G-3
Operations Division and G-5 Plans Division in support of training, education, exercise planning, readiness assessments, and operational planning activities. The overall objective is to enable the United States Marine Corps to accomplish mission requirements through improved force readiness, training effectiveness, and education program development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Education & Exercise Analyst must have experience in and be able to complete all functions of the position while under minimal to no supervision in the following areas:
  • Provide planning support for training and education operations under the direction of the Deputy
G-37, I MEF.
  • Develop Written Recommendations and Analysis for Specific Issues (WRASI) addressing force readiness improvements and I MEF and USMC training and education programs supporting global operations and deployments.
  • Prepare training and education program analysis reports, including: o Capability and training gap analysis. o Analysis of readiness implications resulting from identified gaps. o Recommendations for addressing identified deficiencies.
  • Conduct training and education research and analysis in accordance with TECOM guidance to improve force readiness.
  • Develop and support: o Exercise Assessment Plans. o Exercise/Event Plans of Action and Milestones. o Exercise Support Briefs. o Exercise Support Observation Reports and Recommendations. o Exercise After Action Reviews (AARs).
  • Analyze formal school curriculum gaps and provide recommendations for course expansion, development, and enhancement.
  • Conduct detailed and ongoing analysis of training and education requirements, including studies of: o Marine Corps orders and policies. o Training and education guidance. o Training and education-related directives.
  • Draft official correspondence related to training, education, and analysis efforts.
  • Draft and distribute I MEF TASKORDs, OPORDs, and deployment information messages.
  • Develop pre-event planning products and other deliverables supporting exercises and events.
  • Support conference, working group, and meeting documentation.
  • Prepare trip reports and associated documentation.
  • Create information papers, point papers, briefs, and other routine staff products as requested.
  • Develop I MEF Planners' Huddle Products and
I MEF G-3
Huddle Products.
  • Provide inputs to monthly status reports documenting accomplishments and deliverables.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience in the Marine Corps serving at the
MEF/MAGTF
level or other service equivalent.
  • Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP), Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), or other service equivalent.
  • Familiarity with military Training and Education programs.
  • Experience working in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) or the Live, Virtual, Constructive Training Environment (LVC-TE).
  • Familiarity with military simulations and training systems.
  • Experience with Marine Corps C4I systems or other service equivalent.
  • Familiarity with DoD Simulation protocols and Modeling & Simulation programs.
  • Knowledge of LVC-TE programs and acquisition or other service equivalent.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
