A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

Consolidated Networks Corporation (CNC) is hiring a Computer Operator for the W-TRS contract to support in the area of Mission Command Systems (MCS) at Ft. Irwin, the U.S. Army National Training Center (NTC), located in the Mojave Desert 40 miles northeast of Barstow, California. The computer operator will perform the duties outlined below in a complex, fast paced, 24 x 7 DoW Army computing environment. Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a DoW Secret security clearance. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain Fort Irwin driving privileges. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Must be willing to work all shifts during rotations (0800-1600) (1530-2400) (2330-0800) Must be able to travel to remote locations on post in extreme weather conditions as required to include the heat, and cold of the Mojave Desert, helicopter travel, 4x4 travel, tactical vehicles elevated walkways, and mountain tops. High School diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of experience working with computers Certifications A CompTIA Security+ certification is required. Skills Excellent organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Must be able to solve complex problems. Must be able to verify physical network configurations (i.e. settings, IP's, Ports, etc.). Knowledge of current Army and Joint doctrine is preferred but not required Experience in a Simulation or Mission Command Information Systems environment is desired but not required Duties and Responsibilities Operating windows and LINUX based systems in a Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) environment. Design, develop and maintain digital products such as overlays, graphics, and data sets to support OPORDs and other mission-critical documents. Understanding of incoming and outgoing data flow from multiple sources. Provide briefings on the status of Mission Command Information Systems. Assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues with the unit in the field and 52nd ID Networking team.

Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Mission Command Information Systems such as Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Common Data Link Integration Module (CDLIM), Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS) and Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS) Create and manage accounts for incoming and existing personnel in Active Directory. Update/install new programs, patches and/or Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) And other duties as assigned.
