We are looking for Full time 40 hrs. Weekends and holidays are mandatorySalary/Pay Range:
$16.90 - $17.90 per hour. $1 pay differential for Cottonwood locationBenefits:
Sick and Annual paid leave accrued per pay period/all full time employees. Full-time employees also get Health/dental/vision insurance and 401K available with 3% match after 90 days of employment Summary Performs a variety of interpretive information services duties related to park visitors and sales of bookstore publications and materials to the public. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs visitor service functions, greets and provides orientation to visitors, responds to inquiries related to parks, facilities, geography, habitat, wildlife, travel and local areas. Sells bookstore publications and merchandise, keeps the sales floor clean and organized and cleans, wipes down and sanitizes work area as defined by CDC rules to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Maintains the appearance of the sales area, restocks the shelves, maintains a stock of free literature, makes copies of hand-out materials, and assists with mail-out information. Assists in making daily entries in log books and accurately communicates safety, weather and other information to visitors. Actively promotes JTNPA membership when making sales transactions Opens and/or closes JTNPA cash register, reconciles sales monies at the end of each day if working late shift. OVC pulls inventory from back. JTVC must assist with trash removal, bathroom cleanup and stocking. CWVC may take the company van when available. Writes and sends an order bi-weekly. Writes change order. Sends deposits.Supervisory responsibilities:

Required Skills and Abilities Ability to determine visitor needs and be polite in all situations. Knowledge of interpretive merchandise in order to assist visitors with bookstore purchases. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Operate a cash register and accurately count money. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, customers, and the general public. The ability to converse in a second language is beneficial, but not required. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations Must possess a current California State Driver's License Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
