OPTIONS Family of Services, a local non-profit organization, strives to help people with intellectual disabilities meet their wants and desires as citizens within their community. We serve 200 people from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. Daily, we improve the lives of those we serve. We are currently looking for full and part time staff to work with our individuals in Morro Bay, Los Osos and San Luis Obispo. Part time and full time hours are available (9a-3p 2-3 days per week (part time) and 8:30a-3p (full time)), Monday-Friday. Prior experience is desired but not required. Community Support Specialists work in the community with individuals with intellectual disabilities helping them to work on their social interaction and behavioral goals. They also provide support with other personal needs such as passing medication, budgeting and hygiene needs. Position is subject to Federal drug and alcohol testing under Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations. These requirements are mandated by federal law. In accordance with DOT rules, employees in safety-sensitive positions are subject to drug and alcohol testing under specific circumstances. These include pre-employment testing, random testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return-to-duty testing, and follow-up testing, as applicable. Participation in required testing is a condition of employment for DOT-covered positions.

Pay:

$23.50 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 32.0 per week
