House Manager

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Part-Time House Manager for Homestead Modern, you'll be responsible for the overall upkeep and appearance for a portion of the short term rental properties in our portfolio. You'll ensure your properties are maintained according to our standards and are in excellent condition ahead of guest arrivals. You'll act as the eyes on the ground for the Lead House Manager, and when needed, act as liaison between the internal team and outside vendors.
More about the role:
Visit your properties on a regular basis to conduct quality checks (involves checking cleanliness of home, its inventory, identifying opportunities for improved guest experience , and identifying/troubleshooting other preventative maintenance tasks). Interact with cleaning crews by providing feedback, ensuring standards set by Homestead Modern are being followed across the board as well as being their go-to for any items that need replacing, and/or general upkeep of the home. Adhere closely to checklists and all internal software systems. Meticulously report and track things found in the field using Breezeway and Slack, always using the right required software tool. You'll be familiar with the preferences of your properties' owners, and will also ensure this information is logged properly in our master ops. Prior to owner check ins, you'll project manage the end to end preparation. This includes scheduling needed or incompleted maintenance tasks, confirming owners previous notes have been completed, run any necessary errands and clearly communicating to the owner prior to their stay on any open maintenance issues or issues to note to provide clear expectations Attend and participate in weekly House manager meetings, coming prepared with feedback to discuss about the previous week, provide feedback about current guest issues and report any open issues in the home that need attention Ensure any broken items or guest damaged issues are reported to the Lead house Manager for quick resolution. Ensure any feedback from guests is acted upon, especially during onboarding and the early days of a home being in our portfolio. Coordinate with the owner on decisions as necessary.
SCHEDULE
This role is a part-time position up to 32 hours per week, with a schedule set by the Lead House Manager. Time will be divided between the field and the office. Weekends are required as the schedule demands due to seasonality.

REQUIRED
You have access to your own car, a valid driver's license, and you're comfortable driving many miles between houses. Some of our properties are as much as 40 miles apart, many of them on dirt roads. Background check

$20/hour to start
