On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere Flexible working hours Company Vehicle We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team and work closely with our customers to install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot complex communication systems. A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of all existing telecommunications systems as well as an advanced understanding of the latest technical innovations in this field. This position is entry-level, but will provide a great foundation for the career development of the right person. Responsibilities Install and maintain coaxial cabling systems for telecommunication services. Utilize hand tools and equipment to ensure proper installation and repair of network components. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. Perform network installations and configurations, including Ethernet and telephony systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to safety standards. Document service activities and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs. Qualifications Proficient in computer networking and telecommunication systems Experience as a service technician in the field Skilled in using hand tools and low voltage equipment Knowledge of Ethernet and telephony cabling Familiarity with fiber splicing and network installation Mechanical knowledge and experience with voltmeters and ohmmeters Understanding of Cisco routers is a plus
