Temp The Cable Prep Technician is responsible for preparing raw fiber optic cable for assembly processes. This entry-level to mid-level manufacturing role supports production by ensuring cable materials are properly prepared, inspected, and ready for downstream assembly operations. Key Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare raw cable for assembly, including cutting, stripping, cleaning, and organizing fiber optic cables according to work instructions and specifications. Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and production orders to complete cable preparation tasks accurately. Perform product testing and quality inspections on prepared cables to ensure they meet required standards before assembly. Support installation and troubleshooting activities for fiber optic cable assemblies as needed. Conduct basic assembly tasks related to cable preparation and fiber optic components. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with manufacturing and safety protocols. Work collaboratively under the direction of the team lead (Jerry Cardenas) to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Learn new processes and techniques quickly while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. Requirements & Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience is required . Experience with product testing, reading instructions, installation, and/or troubleshooting is strongly preferred. Fiber optic experience is strongly preferred but not required - candidates eager to learn will be trained. Prior assembly experience is preferred. Proven job stability with consistent employment history (no job hoppers or unexplained employment gaps).Most Important Qualities:
