Temp RPM Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Termination Operator to join a fiber optic manufacturing team in McKinney, Texas. In this role, you will perform precise termination processes on fiber optic cables and connectors. You will be responsible for stripping, epoxying, curing, and preparing terminated fibers for the next stage of production. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our fiber optic products. Key Responsibilities Perform fiber optic termination by stripping the fiber connector and preparing a clean, bare fiber end according to standard operating procedures. Apply epoxy to the connector and fiber assembly with precision to ensure proper bonding and alignment. Load prepared connectors into curing ovens and monitor the curing process to achieve optimal epoxy set. Allow assemblies to cool properly and perform visual inspections for defects, cleanliness, and epoxy coverage. Complete termination documentation and quality checks as required. Transfer finished terminations down the production line for polishing, testing, or further assembly. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping standards. Identify and report any process issues, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to the supervisor. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience in fiber optic manufacturing, cable assembly, or similar precision production work is preferred. Ability to work with small components and delicate materials under magnification or microscope. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Familiarity with basic hand tools, stripping tools, epoxy application, and curing ovens. Ability to follow detailed written instructions and standard work procedures. Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Good close-up vision and manual dexterity. Must be able to handle repetitive tasks with consistency. Work Environment This position is in a clean manufacturing environment.
