Your Assignments and Responsibilities Uphold Forster's Core Values when it comes to the people we serve, the processes we implement, and the solutions we provide Prepare drawings of plans and details as required using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, orPower CAD drafting software Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision, reports to Team Manager. Works effectively with the team leaders to identify and resolve issues related to project design. Provide support to the project teams. Update technological and professional skills by continuous and ongoing commitment to training and lifelong learning opportunities.
What your day looks like:
On any given day, you'll be translating engineer markups into precise AutoCAD drawings for electric utility infrastructure projects — from distribution line plans to substation layouts — while collaborating closely with our engineering team to meet client deadlines.
Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a high school degree or its equivalent Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Power CAD drafting software Experience with electric utility or municipal infrastructure drawings a plus Has general knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the design field. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point) Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to exercise mature and responsible judgment while working under daily stress and work-related pressure. Ability to collaborate with others to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to coordinate information, scheduling and feedback with others while displaying good analytical and diplomatic capabilities when dealing with others. A minimum of one year of technical training is preferred by not required
