Opportunity:
We are partnering with a reputable organization in the organic certification space to identify an experienced Organic Inspector to support a growing portfolio of clients. This is a 1099 contract role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across a diverse range of organic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site organic inspections for:

Review organic system plans and verify compliance with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards Crop production operations Poultry and livestock facilities Handling and processing facilities Collect detailed audit information, including records, inputs, and operational practices Prepare and submit accurate, timely inspection reports Maintain professionalism and neutrality while interacting with clients
Qualifications:
Prior experience in organic agriculture, auditing, or inspection preferred IOIA (International Organic Inspectors Association) training strongly preferred Working knowledge of USDA Organic / NOP standards Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage scheduling/travel Excellent written communication and reporting abilities Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory
Ideal Candidate:
