Job Description
The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Millwood is seeking a dependable and organized Cafeteria Director to oversee daily cafeteria operations in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. This role supports the school's mission by ensuring students are served nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and student supervision.
Job Responsibilities Oversee daily cafeteria operations, including meal service and kitchen organization Supervise and assist students during lunch periods, promoting a respectful and orderly environment Coordinate and manage cafeteria staff and volunteers Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces Assist with food preparation, serving, and inventory management as needed Communicate effectively with school administration, staff, and families Monitor supplies and coordinate ordering with administration Support scheduling and efficiency of lunch periods Job Requirements High school diploma required; food service or management experience preferred Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to supervise students and maintain a structured environment Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs Dependable, collaborative, and able to manage multiple tasks Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
