Cafeteria Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION

Must possess good organizational skills, effective oral/written communications skills, leadership skills, manual dexterity and stamina necessary for the effective performance of duties. Must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 months food service experience. Must be Sanitation certified (Serve Safe) within 1 year of taking position. Must be Level 3 certified with School Nutrition Association within 1 year of taking position. Must Do at least two theme Days per year. Must be willing to get a food handlers permit upon hire. Assist with cooking, baking, preparing, and serving food items for general consumption by students and school personnel and to maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and sanitary condition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must have good comunication skills. Must have knowledge of Google Sheets and Google Docs. Must habve basic computer skills. Must have good math skills, be able to follow recipe instructions, must be able to lift up to 50#, and be able to stand for long periods of time. Assist in the preparation of student and staff lunches. Assist in cleaning up the kitchen, dishwashing room, and dining room. Putting away and organizing Freight. Utilize exemplary practices in sanitation and personal cleanliness at all times. Perform such other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Incumbents must be fingerprinted, and a criminal background check must be cleared. High school education or equivalent required. Prior food service or related field experience preferred. Food Handlers permit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling. They are constantly standing. Typically, they do not work at heights above ten feet. Usually, they do not lift any object weighing more than fifty pounds. Deadline to
