Cake Decorator (Part-Time) Job Summary Calculated Confections is seeking a talented, dependable, and creative Cake Decorator to join our growing bakery team. This role is perfect for someone who loves turning ideas into beautiful edible art while working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You will help create cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and specialty desserts that make celebrations memorable and keep customers coming back. We are looking for someone who is reliable, honest, detail-oriented, and able to work with a strong sense of urgency during busy periods. Schedule Part-time, less than 20 hours per week Must be available Saturdays Additional weekday hours available during holidays and peak seasons Responsibilities Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other desserts to company standards Create custom orders with clean writing, themed designs, and personalized details Use decorating techniques such as piping, buttercream work, fondant accents, and edible décor Prepare fillings, frostings, and finishing touches for baked goods Package finished products carefully for pickup, delivery, or display Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures Work efficiently to complete multiple orders accurately and on time Assist with baking, prep work, and production tasks when needed Provide friendly customer service when discussing orders or answering questions Communicate effectively with team members to keep production running smoothly Qualifications Previous cake decorating, bakery experience preferred Portfolio or photos of past decorating work is a plus Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation Creative mindset with the ability to bring customer ideas to life Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance Honest, trustworthy, and professional Works quickly with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality Positive attitude and team player Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs Willingness to learn and grow with the business What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Creative and supportive work environment Opportunity to grow with an expanding bakery A chance to make customers' special moments even sweeter How to Apply Please send your resume, availability, and any photos of your decorating work.
