Camp Counselor

Job Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn and grow. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childcare and education.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
• Assist with meal times, including serving food and monitoring dietary restrictions
• Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts
• Collaborate with other counselors to create a positive and inclusive camp experience
• Maintain accurate records of camper attendance and behavior

Experience:

• Experience working with children in a theater, childcare, or educational setting
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
• Familiarity with special education principles and strategies is a plus
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities for children of various ages
• Experience working with students in a classroom management or tutoring capacity is beneficial

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related field preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable, responsible, and able to demonstrate leadership qualities
