Based in Egremont, Massachusetts, Greenagers has grown significantly over the past few years. Our Explore Summer Camp, based just down the road from our April Hill campus, is a new summer camp for middle school students that follows our values around the environment, education, community, and fun. We are looking for a Camp Explore Educator to help run Camp Explore. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about summer camp and is interested in bringing their experiences and creativity to Position Overview Camp Explore will be going into its second summer. It is a small camp-about 15 campers- in South Egremont, MA. The camp serves middle school students, and is completely free, with the goal to serve under-resourced students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend summer camp. We are looking for an experienced summer camp counselor who is looking to co-manage this program, along with our Education Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to bring knowledge and experience to a dynamic team that centers youth empowerment, DEI practices, the environment, community, and fun! The camp will run 5 weeks, from July 6th-August 6th. The Camp Explore Coordinator will be expected to work 6 weeks , including a week long staff retreat and training pre-camp. This position will report directly to the Education Director. Responsibilities Co-lead daily camp operations alongside the Education Director and Education Coordinator Design, plan, and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and programs Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all campers Supervise campers throughout the day, ensuring their well-being and participation Mentor junior staff and model strong leadership and teamwork Contribute ideas to build camp culture, traditions, and long-term programming Communicate effectively with staff, campers, and families as needed Assist with setup, cleanup, and general camp organization Knowledge and Requirements Prior experience working as a camp counselor or in a similar youth leadership role Demonstrated leadership skills and readiness to take on a co-leading position Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Energetic, creative, and adaptable with a positive attitude Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must be 21+ Must have valid drivers license, with experience driving a van preferred Preferred Skills Proficiency with Google Docs and Gmail Spanish fluency If a Spanish speaker: English fluency is not required. High to intermediate proficiency in English, with a willingness to learn and practice their English skills, is okay and welcomed! Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred Experience lifeguarding and running swimming and water-based activities Hours, Compensation, and Benefits 6 weeks:

Monday, June 29th-Friday, August 7th.

Schedule:

40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Compensation:
