Camp Lifeguard Chatham University is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Camp Lifeguard to support our Music and Arts Day Camp. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, fun, and welcoming aquatic environment for campers while supporting the overall camp experience. Ideal candidates are attentive, safety‑focused, and enjoy working with children in a creative, camp‑based setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attention to detail is imperative. Applicants must possess a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard AND CPR certification. Applicants should possess precise communication skills to manage the pool. Responsible for monitoring swimmers always. Maintain safety and security in the pool area. Enforcing pool rules always. Pool water testing in accordance with the Health Department. Assisting swimmer(s) with the proper use and teaching of equipment. Participating in any ongoing training/in services. Completing other duties as assigned by the supervisor for this position.
Qualifications:
MUST possess valid American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certification. Minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding experience. Valid driver's license. How to
