Camp Nurse

In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, manage medical emergencies, and ensure health protocols are followed to promote well-being throughout the camp experience. Your expertise will help foster a positive atmosphere where safety and health are prioritized, allowing campers to thrive and enjoy their summer adventures with confidence. Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses promptly, ensuring swift recovery and comfort for campers. Abliity to work with all populations Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation. Monitor vital signs, perform patient assessments, and evaluate physiological responses to various health conditions. Maintain detailed paper & electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Respond effectively to medical emergencies Collaborate with camp staff to implement health policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols aligned with best practices in hospital medicine and emergency medicine. Support specialized care needs as they arise Valid nursing license with current registration; experience in camp medicine, PCP office or emergency room settings highly preferred. Proficiency in basic life support (BLS), IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and medical terminology. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, patient assessment techniques, and vital signs monitoring. Ability to handle infectious disease care protocols confidently while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills for patient care coordination and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; school or outpatient clinic experience is a plus. Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or emergency medicine settings; prior OR experience is beneficial.
