About Will Mbah & His Campaign Will Mbah is a four-term City Councilor in Somerville, Massachusetts running to serve the 34th Middlesex District as State Representative. The 34th Middlesex District covers South Medford, West Somerville, and portions of Winter Hill, Gilman Square, and Ten Hills in Somerville. Candidate Mbah's priorities include: Affordability Immigrant Justice Climate Action Safe Streets & Reliable Infrastructure Public Education Worker Protections Responsive Governance & Transparency Learn more about Candidate Mbah, his story, and his policy leadership at willmbah.com . Position Overview The Campaign Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of Will Mbah's campaign for State Representative serving the 34th Middlesex District. Position responsibilities include executing on voter engagement, field strategy, digital and print communications, volunteer recruitment and organization, and fundraising. This role requires someone with strong organizational and time management skills who's passionate about progressive politics at the state and local levels. The position is ideal for someone with experience in campaign organizing, field operations, political communications, and/or volunteer management. Key Responsibilities Campaign Management Drive execution of the campaign plan in close coordination with the candidate, treasurer, and campaign advisors. Plan and lead (bi)weekly campaign team meetings. Voter Engagement & Field Strategy Coordinate and oversee voter engagement and field operations including canvassing, phone/textbanking, and community events. Track field data and voter engagement metrics. Solicit endorsements and complete candidate questionnaires. Support the candidate at engagements with constituents and community organizations. Digital, Print, & Verbal Communications Coordinate and oversee newsletters, social media, press releases, print literature, and website content. Support the candidate in speechwriting. Volunteer Recruitment & Organization Recruit campaign volunteers. Delegate appropriate tasks. Lead volunteer training. Fundraising Drive achievement of weekly fundraising targets. Support the candidate in fundraising efforts. Qualifications Required At least one year of experience in political campaigns, organizing, communications, or advocacy. Strong project/time management and communication skills. Comfort working independently, handling multiple deadlines, managing frequent communications, and adapting to change. Passion for progressive politics and familiarity with issues central to Somerville and Medford. Preferred Experience leading volunteers or small teams in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with voter engagement tools (e.g., VAN, PDI), digital platforms, and social media. What You'll Gain Leadership experience running a progressive state campaign. Exposure to campaign strategy, voter engagement, and progressive coalition-building. Mentorship and collaboration with a diverse team of organizers and policy advocates.
