BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS

Under the direction of the school principal or his/her designee, the Campus Supervisor patrols and monitors an assigned District school campus and/or property to maintain order, safety and security; monitor lunch areas, walkways, restrooms, parking lots, athletic/performance facilities, and adjacent areas; assure non-students on campus are authorized visitors; providing monitoring and patrolling of the school campus to prevent altercations on campus disorders and disruptions including vandalism, thefts and illegal activities; identify and prevent situational conflicts between student groups and individuals according to established guidelines and intervene as necessary. The Campus Supervisor assists in creating a school environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishes effective rapport with students to motivate them to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure a safe and orderly school environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent required; must have two years (48 semester units) of college/university study at a accredited institution of higher learning or pass district competency test
• Experience of supervision of students in a school or recreational program
• Experience in working with English Learners highly desirable LICENSES, CERTIFICATES and

CLEARANCES

Prospective and current employees are expected possess and maintain the following:

• Valid California Driver's License with evidence of insurability
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate within six months of hiring Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Current Letters of Recommendation (within 2 years)) Proof of HS Graduation Resume Requirements / Qualifications
