Who You Are You are a hands-on field lead with real outdoor farming experience who can execute the plan and keep a small team on track. You understand the pace and variability of outdoor work, follow direction, and bring structure to daily execution. You communicate clearly, ensure tasks are completed the right way, and escalate issues early when something isn't working. Position Summary The Outdoor Cultivation Lead is responsible for executing daily outdoor field operations and directing crews to complete assigned work. This role focuses on irrigation execution, planting and harvest support, field documentation, and day-to-day data collection. The Outdoor Cultivation Lead follows direction from the Farm Manager and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard. Core Responsibilities Site Execution Execute daily outdoor field work as directed by the Farm Manager Ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to standard Irrigation Execution Execute irrigation plans as directed Monitor field conditions and communicate any issues impacting irrigation performance Crew Direction Direct crews in completing assigned daily tasks Lead small teams during planting and harvest activities Maintain pace, organization, and adherence to instructions Ensure work is performed according to established methods and expectations Does not determine crew assignments, priorities, or goals Data & Documentation Complete required field documentation accurately and on time Perform daily data collection related to field activity and crop progress Communication & Escalation Communicate regularly with the Farm Manager Escalate technical or operational issues promptly with clear context Accountability Execution of daily work as directed Accuracy and timeliness of documentation and data collection Effective direction of crews to complete assigned tasks Clear communication and timely escalation of issues Execution of irrigation plans as assigned Qualifications 2+ years of outdoor farming or agricultural experience (required) Prior experience directing small crews or teams in a hands-on environment Ability to follow structured plans and execute consistently Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions and perform physical labor Strong attention to detail and communication skills
