Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures within EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring nutritional needs are met according to individual care plans Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and shared spaces Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized behavioral management techniques Follow all safety procedures including first aid protocols to respond effectively in emergencies and ensure resident safety Experience Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of assisting with ADLs and personal care in home or community care environments Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic health monitoring techniques Proven ability to handle caregiving responsibilities in group home or retirement home settings Knowledge of EMR systems for documentation and record keeping is advantageous Valid driver's license for driving residents or supplies when needed is a plus Join us if you're passionate about caregiving, eager to develop your skills in senior and disability care, and committed to creating a positive impact every day.
