REPORTS TO
Associate Director of Business Solutions & Training
POSITION STATUS
This is a part-time, open pool, non-unit position (some nights and weekends required) without benefits not to exceed 18.5 hours per week. This position will be reposted on July 1st, 2026. You will need to reapply at that time if you are still interested.

$65/hr
STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Career and Technical Training and Professional Development Instructors are subject matter experts that are experienced professionals who will deliver programs and individualized courses including, but not limited to, career and technical training, short term training, professional development, and credentialing. These positions will typically host training during business hours (Monday thru Friday between 7:00 AM•6:00 PM), but may be hosted during the day, in the evening, or on weekends per client request. Training may take place in face-to-face, hybrid, or online modalities dependent on client specifications. Trainings are typically held onsite at the client location within the service region of Bristol Community College, including but not limited to Attleboro, Taunton, Fall River, and New Bedford. Bristol Community College's Business Solutions and Partnerships provide high quality, market-responsive training and professional development to support the evolving economic demands of the region. We serve the public and private sector and individuals striving to obtain employment by providing career focused competencies and training opportunities for pathways into college and career.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and update curriculum, course materials, and training resources aligned with client and organizational needs. Facilitate engaging learning experiences across multiple formats, including courses, webinars, workshops, and one-on-one or group training sessions, in face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual environments. Maintain ongoing communication with the Associate Director of Business Solutions, providing regular updates to ensure project goals, contract requirements, and customer service standards are met. Implement formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate learner outcomes, instructional effectiveness, and program delivery methods. Accurately track and report attendance, grades, and other course-related records in accordance with contractual timelines and institutional policies. Submit weekly timesheets reflecting hours worked on assigned projects. Complete all required institutional trainings (e.g., Title IX, FERPA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Information Security) in a timely manner. Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners. Integrate principles of the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda into all aspects of instruction, curriculum design, and professional interactions. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(All required qualifications must be met by the date of hire unless otherwise noted.) Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Current certification as a Microsoft Office Educator (MCE), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), or Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) or relevant certification Demonstrate experience teaching core Microsoft 365 applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Access. Demonstrate experience with other relevant Business applications including but not limited to Quickbooks, Microsoft Project, Google Workplace applications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS / HRIS), Project Management Systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Business Intelligence & Analytics Systems, Marketing Automation Systems, Inventory & Supply Chain Systems, and/or AI Productivity & Automation Systems. Proven experience delivering instruction or training in professional or academic settings. Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively leverage technology in instruction. Availability to work Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Experience developing curriculum and customized training solutions. Reliable transportation to travel to meetings, training sites, and campus or community locations as needed. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching Microsoft 365 productivity and process improvement tools, such as Power Automate, Planner, Power BI, Visio, and Copilot. Demonstrate experience teaching Business applications including but not limited to Quickbooks, Microsoft Project, Google Workplace applications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS / HRIS), Project Management Systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Business Intelligence & Analytics Systems, Marketing Automation Systems, Inventory & Supply Chain Systems, and/or AI Productivity & Automation Systems. Experience incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and tools into instruction, including practical applications within Microsoft 365 (e.g., Copilot) and workplace productivity environments. Knowledge of information technology (IT) process mapping, workflow analysis, and process improvement methodologies, with the ability to translate business needs into technical training solutions. Demonstrated commitment to and application of equity, inclusion, and student success practices. Additional relevant certifications or licenses in instructional or technical subject areas. Proficiency in a language other than English.
