Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska and Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center will offer valued work experience within a tribal and healthcare environment to college students. This program aims to provide summer opportunities and positive work training experiences, as well as to identify and track potential full-time employment candidates among prospective tribal members. Each intern will work within a designated department of OTN and CTCHEC, under the guidance of a supervisor or coach based on their educational goals and interests.

All applicants must submit a resume, completed application, letter of interest and (2) two recommendation letters to the following address no later than Friday, May 15,2026; incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications will not be considered if all required documentation is not turned in by the specified date. No late applications will be accepted .

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and/or
RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Attend and participate in orientation and training sessions. Assist in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or coach. Follow established guidelines and procedures for completing tasks. Develop and enhance skills in the designated field of work. Attend and participate in meetings and events related to the department's activities. Maintain accurate records and document activities as needed. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Participate in regular feedback sessions with the supervisor or coach to identify areas for improvement and growth. Demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic at all times. Complete any additional duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor or coach.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE
Must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university. Must have resume, letter of interest, and two (2) recommendation letters KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or
ABILITIES
Knowledge of organizational procedures and guidelines related to the designated field of work. Ability to attend and actively participate in orientation and training sessions. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and clients. Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate records of activities. Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures for completing assigned tasks. Willingness to participate in meetings and events related to the department's activities. Ability to develop and enhance skills in the designated field of work. Active listening and critical thinking skills to provide constructive feedback during regular feedback sessions. Demonstrated positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Time-management and organizational skills to complete assigned tasks and additional duties or projects within given deadlines.
