On My Own Independent Living Services is a local company dedicated to providing direct in-home care, quality supervision and supportive services for adults with developmental disabilities, parents, and the elderly. As a Direct Service Provider, you will work with adults with intellectual disabilities who live independently in their own homes or apartments in the community. You will work as a personal attendant and spend at least 80% of your time supervising, feeding, or dressing clients in their homes. This includes supervising clients with personal care, assistance with meal preparations and overseeing clients performing daily living tasks. Many of our clients receive services from both On My Own and IHSS (In Home Supported Services). Currently, we have full-time and part-time shifts available. However, given that we are a 24/7 service provider with a long list of clients who need care, these openings are subject to change. Therefore, you have the greatest chance of receiving your EXACT preferred schedule if you are as flexible as possible with your availability.

Job Requirements:

Passion for giving care and helping others. Willingness to work with a variety of clientele with differing needs Strong interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable working with technology and electronic schedule logging. Availability to work weekends, overnights, and holidays (This is a 24/7 program.) Availability to work in the following areas preferred: (Napa and Solano Counties) This position has a fixed starting wage, and includes a passive rate of $16.50 per hour for training, travel time, and overnight "sleep" shifts.

• Experience working with adults with disabilities is a big plus.
