Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. While Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, it is not required—your passion for providing quality care and your willingness to learn are what truly matter. In this role, you will deliver personalized assistance with daily activities, monitor health and safety, and create a warm, supportive environment for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic and rewarding setting, emphasizing dignity, independence, and well-being. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Observe and document patient conditions, vital signs, and changes in health status using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support medication administration following proper protocols and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and medical guidelines Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to enhance overall comfort and safety Collaborate with healthcare professionals during hospice or long-term care situations, ensuring respectful and compassionate care delivery Skills Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior promptly Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly valued Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Knowledge of medical terminology related to dementia care, hospice care, catheter care, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Ability to assist with complex care needs including the use of Hoyer lifts and catheter management Compassionate communication skills to connect effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times Ability to work independently or as part of a team in home & community care settings Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus CPR certification preferred; ongoing training provided if necessary This role offers a fulfilling opportunity for dedicated caregivers eager to provide exceptional support while developing valuable skills in senior care, memory care, and home health services.
