In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to adults with various needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss or dementia. Your energetic and proactive approach will ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued every day. This position offers an opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that emphasizes dignity, independence, and quality of life for all residents. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support residents with Alzheimer's care and memory care needs through specialized techniques and patience Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Document resident progress, health updates, and incident reports using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Manage behavior issues with compassionate strategies and effective behavior management techniques Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate care plans Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of long-term care practices and home & community care experience Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous Familiarity with dementia care techniques and Alzheimer's support strategies is desirable Proven ability to perform first aid and emergency response procedures confidently Experience using EMR systems for documentation and record keeping is a plus Valid driver's license for transportation duties is beneficial Strong communication skills combined with a caring attitude are essential for success in this role Join us in creating a warm, supportive environment where every resident receives the attentive care they deserve.
