Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN Now Hiring Personal Care Assistants - Decatur King's Grace Homecare is seeking dependable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide non-medical, in-home support for seniors and adults with disabilities in the Decatur area. This position is ideal for individuals who value consistency, prefer one-on-one care, and want flexible scheduling options. Paid training is available for candidates who are new to caregiving. Role Overview As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide hands-on support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes. Primary Responsibilities Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support mobility, transfers, and positioning Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping Offer medication reminders (non-medical) Provide patient, respectful support to individuals with memory-related conditions Maintain basic care documentation What We Offer Weekly pay with consistent processing Flexible scheduling (day, evening, weekend options) Paid training and onboarding Mileage reimbursement between client visits Referral bonus opportunities Holiday pay for eligible shifts Ongoing support from scheduling and care team Qualifications Reliable and able to maintain a consistent schedule Ability to follow care plans and instructions Strong communication skills Reliable transportation preferred Ability to assist with lifting/mobility (up to 50 lbs.) Must pass a background check Experience Previous PCA, caregiver, or home care experience is helpful Experience with dementia or memory care is a plus Entry-level applicants welcome - training provided Scheduling Options Full-time, part-time, and PRN availability Day, evening, and weekend shifts available Some holidays may be required based on client needs Work Environment Care is provided one-on-one in client homes, allowing for focused, personalized support.
