Job Description

Central Program Director Why Join Olive Crest? Olive Crest offers a great opportunity to merge your God-given talents with your passion to serve our most vulnerable population. Our residential program located in the beautiful Goleta mountains, situated atop 214 acres overlooking to Pacific Ocean. Overview The Central Program Director is responsible for the overall management and execution of the Caregiver Support contract for the Central catchment area. Ensure appropriate level of care and support to achieve optimal physical, emotional, social and safety outcomes for foster youth/children under this contract. Monitor daily operations of the Caregiver Support program as appropriate including overseeing adherence to all policies, procedures as well as staff productivity. Evaluate the services provided and outcomes achieved by the team. Establish and oversee staff training to ensure compliance with contracts and COA. Assist with planning and managing the Central office budget. Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement and Community Involvement team members to facilitate opportunities for volunteer involvement. Responsibilities 1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Central office's Caregiver Support Services program including administration, budgets, treatment strategies and monitoring client case ratios. 2. Share hiring decisions with supervisors and assist with training new program staff. 3. Ensure training manual is maintained and updated for ongoing program development and oversee all the mandated ongoing staff training. 4. Provide oversight and supervision of the Administrative Assistant responsible for administrative support to Central program staff. 5. Assist program staff with addressing clinical issues. 6. Direct crisis management regarding client or caregiver support concerns or needs. This may include sharing on-call duties, fielding crisis calls from social workers, parents during interim times and covering for vacations with other program staff when needed. 7. In coordination with the Regional Program Director interface with the National program staff and program core teams as it relates to implementing best practices and program models and insuring appropriate levels of communication and alignment. 8. Participate in the process for alignment of the Caregiver Support Services within the PNW region. 9. Responsible for reporting monthly census to National staff for Quality Assurance reports. 10. Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of Caregiver Support Managers/Supervisors, and administrative assistant. 11. Provide periodic audits and review of procedures and standards. 12. Review and assure appropriate compliance on Special Incident Reports. 13. Ensure COA and Olive Crest standards are being met and give oversight and prepare for successful audits. 14. Ensure needed and as requested reports are prepared accurately and with timely submission and appropriate data information is collected. 15. Represent Olive Crest on various regional and state councils or committees such as WACF and DCYF initiatives. 16. Review and approve timecards, vacations and pre-approve over-time as needed. 17. Coordinate coverage for vacations or leaves. 18. Interface with and monitor consultant(s) who function as professional treatment staff. 19. Ensure contracted supervision hours for staff are budgeted and comply with contract requirements. 20. Participate in Senior Leadership meetings as required. 21. Willing to work occasional evenings/weekends in order to meet with families who are unable to meet during regular business hours or those caregivers who need on call services. 22. Other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications 1. A Master's Degree in social services or a closely related field from an accredited school and one year of experience working with children or youth; or A bachelor's degree in social services or a closely related field from an accredited school and two years of experience working with children and youth; or Five years of successful full-time experience in a relevant field. 2. Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities that promote effective staff performance and development, and relevant experience, training and demonstrated skills in each area that he or she will be supervising or managing. 3. Proficient Microsoft suite computer skills. 4. Demonstrated ability to organize, communicate effectively, plan and follow through with assigned tasks and to present oneself in a mature and professional manner. 5. Extensive experience working with children/families, strong knowledge of the DSHS system and licensing requirements as written in the Washington Administrative Code. 6. Strong assessment, critical thinking and crisis intervention skills. 7. Ability to work and relate to a wide variety of people. 8. Must have a philosophy of support for at-risk children and families in line with the mission, vision, values, and statement of faith of Olive Crest. 9. Must maintain background clearance.
