Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to join our team on weekends, providing essential support and companionship to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a weekend Caregiver, you will deliver personalized assistance, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for those you serve. Your dedication will help promote independence and enhance quality of life in a supportive environment. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia through engaging activities and memory care techniques Use proper lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe transfers and heavy lifting tasks Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation duties Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents clearly in compliance with healthcare standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans and ensure consistent patient care Respond promptly to emergencies using CPR or first aid skills when needed Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of home health care practices and community-based caregiving services Experience assisting with medication administration and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia Proven ability to handle patient monitoring tasks with compassion and professionalism Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times Previous caregiving roles involving long-term care or hospice support are advantageous Strong communication skills for effective social work interactions and teamwork in a caregiving environment Join us in delivering heartfelt care that truly makes a difference!
