QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be able to perform all duties of a Personal Care Attendant as described in the Job Summary.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to prove competency through education and/or experience or demonstrate competency to perform tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with the client and other Personal Care Attendants in a friendly manner.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor and office to ensure that service expectations are met.
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry items as needed.
  • Prolonged standing and walking may be required for some assignments
  • Must be able to work under some stressful conditions, be able to identify client needs, make quick decisions, meet the client/family psycho social needs and demonstrate interest in the welfare of ill and elderly.
  • Must provide documentation of legal authority to work in the United States (social security card, work visa, green card, etc.)
  • Ability to drive
  • Hold a valid state issued identification (ID or Driver's License) and provide a copy to Wade's Solutions For Living Inc.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to assignments and provide proof of current auto insurance.

Personal Care Attendant - JOB SUMMARY Primary function is to provide personal assistance services to the client in their place of residence; to assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with client and family and share observations and problems with the office. Attendant must demonstrate an interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly and remain alert to the needs of the client during their scheduled shift.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, toileting, feeding, dressing, shadow when walking)
  • Provide companionship and conversation.
  • Assistance with transferring
  • Meal preparation and clean-up of meal preparation and serving items.
  • Provide appointment and assist with self-administered medications.
  • General light household cleaning and laundry.
  • Running errands and accompany on appointments.
  • Help with basic care of client's pets, if needed.
  • Complete shift reports for every shift worked, clock in/out using our automated system for each shift, document any changes in the client's needs or living conditions, all visitors.
  • Submit hours worked (including any mileage driven) weekly to the office either by email or text.
  • Remain awake and alert during your shift in order to attend promptly to the client's needs (overnight shifts require that caregivers remain awake for the duration of their shift)
  • Training- complete as assigned
  • Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested
  • Have, or if able, be willing to acquire, an email address to be notified of assignments (ask about email access and training)
  • Have a telephone that you answer regularly in order to be notified of assignments.
Part time and full time positions available. Shifts and pay will vary with each client. Positions available for Cooke, Grayson and Denton County
