Job Description

Journeyman Carpenter - Able Construction, LLC Able Construction, LLC is a family-owned restoration and construction company with over 80 years of combined experience. We specialize in residential and commercial fire, water, and disaster recovery—from emergency response through full rebuild. We are looking for a skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our growing team. Position Summary The Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for performing high-quality carpentry work in both new construction and restoration settings. This role involves working on a variety of job sites and requires travel, teamwork, and attention to detail. What You'll Do Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Perform framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, doors, windows, siding, and stairs Complete drywall, flooring, and general repair work Measure, cut, and install materials to precise specifications Load/unload materials and maintain organized job sites and trucks Track inventory and communicate material needs Train and support apprentices as needed Follow all OSHA and company safety standards What We're Looking For Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements Solid math and problem-solving skills Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all conditions Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused Valid driver's license (travel required) Tools You'll Use Hand tools, power tools (saws, drills, routers), and measuring equipment (tape measures, laser tools, squares) Schedule & Work Environment Primarily daytime weekday hours Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call work Frequent travel between job sites, supply houses, and shop Work includes active job sites, tight spaces, and physically demanding conditions
