This paid position offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled carpenters and construction professionals. You'll learn essential skills in framing, trim carpentry, roofing, and more, while contributing to exciting projects that shape communities. Assist experienced carpenters with framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, and siding projects to build foundational skills. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to project specifications. Perform heavy lifting (minimum 30 of pounds) and material handling to support various phases of construction or renovation projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety standards. Learn about drywall finishing (plastering), fabricating, and other specialized trades as you progress. Eagerness to learn construction techniques including framing, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, and more. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading is a plus but not required—training will be provided. Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols on active construction sites. Prior experience in construction or related industries. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to take direction from seasoned professionals. Valid driver's license so you can get to job sites.
