Carpenter/Laborer

JC Remodeling, LLC. is a licensed residential general contractor with over 18 years of experience with whole house remodeling and renovation. JC Remodeling, LLC. prides itself on delivering quality craftsmanship every time. The Carpenter/Laborer will build, install, and repair structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Install materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Be able to use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects. Joins materials with the appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive. Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed. Installs windows and doors. Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to understand directions and accurately read a tape measure. Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately. Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade. Ability to travel and has own reliable transportation. Works well as part of a team as well as independently.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma/GED preferred.

Nice to have:

successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to read and understand measurements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. •We are willing to train a highly motivated individual with room to advance.
