SUMMARY:

The role for this position reports to shop production manager - foreman and is based on fabricating custom cabinetry and commercial millwork based on specifications from shop drawings, utilizing various materials from solid woods, laminates, integrating solid surfaces and metal

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Always maintaining a top level of safety Will always work towards optimizing efficiency and complete the job at a fast pace without compromising quality Read, analyze shop drawings verify dimensions prior to fabrication Follow shop drawings specifications and provide focused feedback when fabrication can be improved Reports any engineering, material or information issues that need to be corrected Set up tools and materials for each project Identify, select and install cabinetry hardware. Rails, pulls, hinges, and other component. Train Jr cabinet makers and general helpers to become more experienced in the industry Other assign task related to the department

QUALIFICATIONS

Over 2 years of experience in custom millwork fabrication, modular furniture fabrication combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Exhibit/Tradeshow, Millwork, Commercial Cabinetry, Metal Work, Finishing Extensive training in using woodworking machinery such as: Planer, Jointers, Shapers, Table saws Extensive knowledge in using power tools such as Routers, laminate trimmers, Miter saw, etc. Familiar with solid woods, veneers, laminates, MDF, solid surfaces (Corian) Ability to identify, select and install cabinetry hardware. Rails, pulls, hinges, etc Overall strong technical and communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
