We are seeking a dependable and compassionate CART Driver to provide safe, reliable, and respectful transportation to our consumers. In this role, you'll do more than drive—you'll play a vital part in helping individuals maintain independence and access essential services. Position Summary The CART Driver is responsible for safely transporting agency consumers using accessible vehicles while delivering a high level of customer care. This role includes assisting passengers from pickup to destination and ensuring a comfortable, dignified experience for every rider. What You'll Do Safely operate agency vehicles (mini-vans and small transit buses equipped for accessibility) Provide door-to-door assistance for passengers, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices Ensure all passengers are properly secured before transit Assist with groceries, packages, and meal deliveries as needed Follow assigned routes and schedules using an electronic tablet Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain cleanliness of agency vehicles Accurately collect and submit fares (when applicable) Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism, patience, and respect What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of relevant experience (driving, transportation, or customer service preferred) Must be 21 years of age or older Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record Knowledge of local roads and navigation Basic understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance Ability to pass background checks, child abuse clearance, and drug/alcohol screening Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry 30+ lbs (occasionally more for deliveries) Ability to assist passengers with mobility devices (up to 160+ lbs with equipment) Frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting Ability to sit for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions Work Environment Agency vehicles and outdoor conditions Driving in all weather conditions Flexible scheduling based on service needs Additional Responsibilities Complete required training programs Report incidents, accidents, or traffic violations promptly and accurately Follow all agency policies, state laws, and safety procedures Why Join Us?
