Job Description

Join Laraway Youth and Family Services as we continue to develop and grow our new school wing dedicated to serving students with ASD and/or other intensive needs! Job Summary Our SHINES program specializes in working with students in grade K-8 diagnosed with Autism and/or other complex needs.
The Case Manager will:
Maintain alignment between the student's families/caregivers and educational partners. Collaborate with the SHINES Clinician and team to craft, monitor, and update Individual Treatment Plans. Work closely with the SHINES Special Educator to coordinate student IEP services and community learning opportunities. Take lead in small group daily living skill, regulation, and recreational activities. Primary supervisor of Intensive Needs Behavior Interventionists (INBIs), responsible for observation, feedback, and documentation. Full Job Description Available Upon Interview or By Request. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in human services or related field, however, bachelor's degree nearing completion and relevant experience with a strong staff development plan may be considered. Two years' experience with human services delivery serving children, youth and families, preferred. Special Position Requirements Professional experience working with ASD students - minimum 2 years This position is a Mandated Reporter Must adhere to confidentiality expectations Clearance of Criminal Background Check, maintenance required. Valid driver's license, excellent driving record, and daily access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle. Ability to complete and maintain Handle with Care verbal and physical certifications; Trainer certification preferred. Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training and maintain certification, Lifeguard certification preferred. Basic knowledge and ability to use word processing programs as well as standard communication tools such as telephone systems and e-mail. Work/Physical Requirements Given the at-risk population served, the position requires ongoing training and preparedness in the execution of physical restraint techniques in the event of imminent danger to self or others. This may require running to catch a child. The "Handle with Care" program specifies that individuals with back and neck limitations are likely to be hampered in the execution of the protocols and greatly increases risk of harm to self or student. Ability to engage with youth in a variety of activities ranging from art, music, cooking and physical activities such as walking, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor sports. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. •
