Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while maintaining cash handling integrity. Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits, enhancing the shopping experience. Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting and well-maintained. Support upselling initiatives by suggesting additional products or promotions to increase sales opportunities. Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone, ensuring clear and courteous interactions. Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting discrepancies to ensure product availability aligns with customer demand. Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for eager learners. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms to effectively assist customers and team members. Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during busy shifts or supporting training efforts. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases more effectively. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store operations will help you excel in this role.
