Offer any assistance they may need to ensure a great shopping experience. May use electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. Process credit â€" debit or snap benefits card transactions and validate checks. Â
• Page another associate to help checkout if your line is more than 3 customers or if the orders are large transactions to ensure customers get out the door quickly. Â
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Â
• Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies. Â
• Help customers find the location of products. Â
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Â
• Greet customers entering establishments. Â
• Supervise others and provide on-the-job training. Â
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Â
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping floors and emptying trash cans. Â
