Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Plan, implement, control, evaluate, and improve all aspects of Cashier and Vault Department operations. Assume full accountability for protection and utilization of physical assets, compliance with regulatory requirements, supervision of team members, and application of processes in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Manage and oversee all Cashier and Vault Department team members including, but not limited to: Hiring, training, and scheduling of team members. Advisement on proper procedures and application of regulations. Communicating pertinent information. Conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in a timely manner. Overseeing daily operations. Ensure team members provide proper guest service to all casino guests and internal team members. Ensure security of cash, chips, internal credit, coupons, and vouchers. Ensure cage procedures reflect TICS and Title 31 compliance and update as necessary. Monitor and document all cash exchanges, interactions, and investigate all variances. Control access to vault. Assist Security and Surveillance with investigations and asset protection. Ensure proper operation of all equipment and recommend changes to increase accuracy and efficiency. Establish and maintain check cashing policies and communicate standards to all involved. Prepare and maintain records, including debit/credit slips, balances, vault chip log, vault money log, cashier checkout reports and internal credit card distribution and any other documents that are required to protect casino assets. Coordinate with the Revenue Audit Department to ensure proper flow of information and documentation for financial recording and processing. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree with a major in business or accounting and 1 year of experience in a related field, OR Associate's degree with a major in business or accounting and 3 years of experience in a related field, OR 5 years of experience in a related field, including cash handling.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong management and leadership abilities. Strong accounting/bookkeeping skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and computer operation. Knowledge of cashier/vault/cage operations. Knowledge of cash flow in a casino or banking environment. Knowledge of casino/banking federal regulations and application. Knowledge of cashier/vault equipment. Able to develop and establish adequate controls for a cash-intensive operation. Able to effectively deal with guests, team members and peers.UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS
Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required including afternoon and overnight and weekends.
