Cashier - SPANISH SPEAKING

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is essential in ensuring smooth store operations and fostering customer satisfaction. Experience with POS systems, retail sales, and cash handling is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments accurately Maintain knowledge of store products for upselling and product demos Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves as needed Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues Promote store promotions and suggest additional products to customers (upselling) Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed Follow proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone Requirements Previous cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or retail stores Spanish speaking Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transactions Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with a focus on positive interactions
