Material Yard Sales/Equipment Operator

• Learn and efficiently use our cash register system to assist customers with purchases.
• Guide and educate customers about our landscape materials, answering questions and offering recommendations.
• Deliver personable and helpful customer service, ensuring positive experiences for all visitors.
• Operate small equipment, especially wheeled loaders, safely and responsibly (training provided).
• Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance as needed, using your mechanical aptitude.
• Handle physical tasks such as loading materials, organizing inventory, and assisting in yard operations. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience or knowledge in landscape materials or equipment operation is a plus.
• Mechanical interest or basic skills in equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Previous customer service experience is helpful but not required. Required Skills and Attributes
• Willingness to learn new systems and tasks, including our cash register and product lines.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality—being on time is essential for our team's success.
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic; able to stay productive with minimal supervision.
• Personable communication skills and a positive attitude with customers and coworkers.
• Readiness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Comfort with manual labor and working on your feet throughout the day.
• Willingness to operate and maintain small equipment as part of daily tasks (training provided). Compensation and Benefits

• On-the-job training provided for all key areas, including equipment operation and customer service. Work Schedule
• Peak hours Monday thru Friday 7 am to 4 pm and Saturday 7 am to 3 pm
• Availability for most Saturdays is required, as these are busy days in our industry.
• Consistent punctuality and reliability are essential.
