Cashier / Stocker

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and maintaining well-stocked shelves. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales and merchandising. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. Duties Operate POS systems accurately for checkout transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays and easy access for customers Conduct merchandising activities to promote featured products and seasonal items Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and stockrooms Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when needed, ensuring smooth store operations Perform retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory management Support inventory counts and restocking procedures to ensure product availability Requirements Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, pricing, and inventory tasks Experience in merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments is a plus Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Reliable team player with good organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
