Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos when applicable Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Maintain an organized checkout area, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising to enhance product visibility Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities while providing helpful recommendations Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support stock management by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains tidy and inviting Qualifications Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers confidently Basic math skills and retail math knowledge are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, standing for extended periods, and assisting with product demos This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting while delivering outstanding customer service.
