Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. In this role, you'll be the friendly face that ensures smooth transactions, provides exceptional service, and helps customers find exactly what they need. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and contribute to the overall success of our store. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while making a positive impact on our community. Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales. Upsell relevant products and add-on items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or addressing customer inquiries remotely. Support inventory management through stock replenishment and assisting with inventory counts as needed. Promote a positive shopping environment through friendly communication skills and proactive engagement with customers. Assist in product knowledge sharing by providing product demos and explaining features to customers. Experience Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling us to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike. Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Experience with POS systems or familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory. Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in growth opportunities within the team. A professional attitude with excellent phone etiquette enhances customer interactions and overall service quality.
