Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Cashier/Food Service team member to deliver exceptional customer experiences in our convenience store with a quick-service fast-food restaurant environment. This role combines cashiering duties with food preparation and service, requiring a friendly attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for food industry excellence. Paid positions are available for candidates eager to contribute to a dynamic team while ensuring food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and sales processing Prepare and serve food items efficiently, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude Maintain the cleanliness of the counters, kitchen, and food prep stations by performing basic sanitation tasks Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to proper storage, portioning, and food safety guidelines Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen operations as needed Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; retail or grocery store experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable Strong math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is advantageous but not required Basic understanding of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and food preparation processes Join us at Tri Energy Cooperative (Cenex), where your enthusiasm fuels our success!
