Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall shopping experience, ensuring that customers feel valued and appreciated. Your responsibilities will include operating the cash register, assisting with product demonstrations, and maintaining a well-stocked sales floor. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to enhance the shopping experience. Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively to encourage sales. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Demonstrate products to customers, enhancing their understanding and encouraging purchases. Maintain knowledge of store promotions, sales, and policies to effectively assist customers. Follow phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries regarding store services or products. Experience Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
