Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision. Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions clearly, and providing product recommendations tailored to their needs. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities that enhance the shopping experience. Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store layout is attractive and inviting. Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including balancing registers at shift end and managing daily cash flow responsibly. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with bilingual customers and ensuring clear understanding of products and policies. Support grocery store operations by adhering to safety standards, practicing good phone etiquette when taking inquiries or assisting customers remotely, and contributing to a positive team environment. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations such as discounts or change. Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs better. Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in a grocery environment is beneficial but not required.
