About the Role We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Casting Finishing Technician to support efficient, safe, and high‑quality production. This hands‑on role is critical to ensuring cast parts meet quality standards through precise finishing, inspection, and process consistency. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality‑focused, and thrives in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Cast parts while producing consistent results within established quality parameters Mix all casting materials according to supplier specifications Troubleshoot molds when quality or consistency issues arise Utilize finishing tools and techniques to ensure parts match master samples Perform visual and dimensional inspections prior to shipping Understand different finish levels and how to properly achieve them Accurately complete required documentation Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation Actively support the Five Star Plastics Quality Management System (QMS) Assist with training efforts and collaborate with team members Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable and regular attendance required Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs with assistance Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry tools or materials Why Join Us Stable, full‑time opportunity in a production environment Hands‑on training and skill development Team‑oriented workplace with a focus on quality and safety
Pay:
From $19.50 per hour
