Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Nutrition Team Member is responsible for the successful operation of the Senior Nutrition Programs which serves meals to older adults, provides participant assistance, works with kitchens to package meals and delivers meals to the homebound. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Adhere to Chapter 8 standards of practice under the Older American's Act to meet program requirements. Implement established guidelines and follow food safety & sanitation guidelines. Assist participants in completing required intake forms (new participants, annual update) and annual Nutrition Participant surveys. Maintain accurate records of meals served, donations received. Monitor for health and safety concerns for the individuals in the program and report concerns to the Nutrition Coordinators. Be familiar with and follow "red flag" procedures. Assist individuals in connecting with community resources and make appropriate referrals to the ADRC Office when needed. Package food according to nutritional requirements and preparation policies. Transport food from the kitchen contractors, and deliver meals to the homebound on established routes. Maintain County van by completing van repairs as needed, document said repairs, maintain gasoline usage logs, and record rides provided. Assist when necessary at lunch and learn or restaurant model nutrition programs. Assist with preparation and coordination of pick up meals if available through Nutrition program. Attend all staff meetings and annual "Food Safety and Sanitation Training." Ensure confidentiality of program participant's information. Minimum Training and Experience Required toPerform Essential Job Functions:
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Applicants must hold a current ServSafe Certification or become certified within one year of employment. Individuals must have a valid driver's license, required insurance, and possess a driving record that meets county standards. Individual must have a cell phone that they can use for communication purposes.Similar remote jobs
