Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Category Merchant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will drive category growth by managing supplier relationships, optimizing product assortments, and executing strategic purchasing initiatives. Your expertise in supply chain management, data analysis, and vendor negotiations will be essential to maximize profitability and enhance our product offerings across various categories. Essential Functions of the Job Forecast review and purchase order preparation of purchase of woodworking tools and accessories. Use computerized inventory control systems to maintain inventory and stock level objectives, review and analyze product needs. Catalog, Internet, Warehouse, Retail Store and Technical Service interaction to coordinate inventory, returns, special orders, new product and information needs. Monitor, analyze, and report product category results. Provide sales, marketing, purchasing, and inventory control support as required by other Woodcraft departments. Present and "sell" new products, or program initiatives, at weekly new product meetings and/or executive management meetings. Other relevant duties assigned by merchant's supervisor.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business preferred. Understanding/Interest in Woodworking Tools and Processes. High level or professional negotiation skills. Ability to provide self-direction and prioritize projects. Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills. Must possess or be able to obtain US passport.
